Abstract

The use of the CANVAS Model for the configuration and analysis of the business model is extremely useful and continuously applicable both in the business and academic fields. In any case, its use cannot just be a static photograph of a situation, no matter low graphic and clear it may be. Business decisions requires that the tools be dynamic enough to accompany the needs of decision makers. For this reason, the concept of deconstruction of the business model has been developed, with the aim of presenting a methodology that allows the decision-maker to evaluate and analyze the changes that the competitive environment requires of the business model, while continuing the operation and avoiding alter it in the short term. In this paper, based on the new book by Chan Kim and Renee Mauborgne entitled “The Transition of the Blue Ocean”, the CANVAS deconstruction methodology will be presented, to address each of the steps proposed by the authors, with the aim of installing the business model in a new competitive environment, which implies the leadership of the pioneers, based on an environment with new strategic conditions.
